PAWS Act Provides Service Dogs for Vets

President Joe Biden has signed into law the Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers for Veterans Therapy Act. According to the VA, approximately 1 in every 5 servicemembers suffers from PTSD as a result of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. This new law aims to provide support animals and training to affected veterans over the course of the next 5 years. Pet Food Manufacturer May Be Linked to Illness & Death

If your pet’s food is one of the many brands beneath the Midwestern Pet Foods Inc. umbrella, stop using it immediately! According to Food and Drug Administration spokesperson Stephen M. Solomon,"Inspections of Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc.'s manufacturing plants revealed evidence of violations, which were shared across multiple plants and were associated with the illness or death of hundreds of pets who had eaten the company's dry dog food," Their dry food was found to containaflatoxin as high as 558 parts per billion. Storm Affected Pets Find Solace in Kentucky Shelters

Our last story hits closer to home as it takes place right here in Cuddle Clones’ home state of Kentucky. Approximately 60 pets (30 cats and 30 dogs) displaced by the devastating effects of Hurricane Ida have found temporary respite in Louisville with the Kentucky Humane Society. Ida made landfall as a monstrously powerful Category 4 storm and the impact has left the region struggling to recover.
