Each month, we donate to 10 animal shelters nominated by you. One of the shelters we will be donating to is Wags & Whiskers Pet Rescue. After reading their nomination email they sent to blog@cuddleclones.com, we were so happy we could help them out! 

Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-breed, no kill, animal rescue organization located in Chico, CA. They are a volunteer-driven group with a number of years of experience with animals and rescue. Their mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned animals. 

They rescue animals at risk of euthanasia in shelters, as well as those surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.  They are committed to helping the neediest, as well as the readily adoptable.

Once in their care, all animals are spayed or neutered, given any needed vaccinations, and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. They are then placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. They assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent their finances allow, dogs in the greatest need take priority.​

They have a comprehensive adoption application process that takes considerable care in making the best possible match for the animal as well as the potential adopter. They feel part of the process is to educate prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a new animal into their homes and lives. They work to achieve the highest success rate possible and seek to place all animals in loving, responsible, and permanent homes.
